Warrior/Monk build, need help/suggestions.
Hello,
I am a level 20 Warrior/Monk using swords. I only have the prophecies campaign, so I can't get the other good skills. I have 9 on Strength, 11 Swordsmanship, 9 Tactics.
My Build:
[Pure Strike][Sever Artery][Gash][Galrath Slash][Flurry][For Great Justice][Healing Signet][Restore Life]
So, I need suggestions on what to change/keep.
Thanks

Change Restore Life to [Rebirth] or plain simple [Resurrection Signet].
Don't use Pure Strike if you have a Stance. Or just don't use it.
Flurry lowers your damage. Use [Frenzy] and [Rush]. Learn to use them. Love them.
But you better have a good monk. Also, get the 30 Attribute Points quests to get 12 swordsmanship, 11 strength and rest in Tactics.
If you are unsure how to use Frenzy and Rush effectively, run something like this:
http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:W/any_Cleave_PvE
http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:W/...sic_PvE_Hammer
It's just that... Prophecies doesn't have good Sword Elites.

30 Attribute Points quests? I just finished ascending yesterday, so could you give me a link from GWW to the quest or w/e?
And I'm having trouble finding [Rush].
Thanks for replying.

There are two 15-pt attribute point quests you need to complete as a PvE character to get the max amount of attribute points available to you. I forget their names (I only know the names of the factions and nightfall ones), but I'm sure http://gw.gamewikis.org would be more than happy to assist me in naming them. Also, you can find all the information you could ever want about Rush on there. That site will be one of your best friends throughout your life as a GW player.

You've just ascended? That's good, you can swap your secondary to something useful.
[Hundred Blades][Sever Artery][Gash][Galrath Slash][Frenzy][Rush][Conjure Flame][Resurrection Signet]
14 Sword/9 Str/10 Fire
HB sucks but theres not much you can do with sword Proph-only builds.
PS: Right click on the skills and 'Open in new window' opens up the wiki page for that skill. It'll tell you where to get Rush.

marty's build is good for swords, sadly you wont get the elite till the end of the game though.
http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Category:Prophecies_builds
the warrior builds under that would be good,i would recomend using the Shock Axe bar but drop shock for a conjure and make it 10 str/8 of the element you use.

You buy Rush at CopperHammer Mines or it can be capped in the Northern Shiverpeaks by boss Mino.Go outside the frostgate and look for an copper glow.To be honest though I would switch to axe and go cap Eviscerate in Surrows Furnace along with Bulls Charge. You don't need any quest to cap these I got them in in about 10 min of being down there.
The only Monk if you continue to play that is mend ailment about the best in Prophecies unless you use purge signet. You will need to switch to zealouse weapon when using purge signet. This is if you play only with henchies.

[cyclone axe], [dismember], I rest my case. W/E for a Conjure would indeed be your best option right now.

Okay, guys. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. I have decided to change to axe. Since prophecies doesn't have any good sword elite skills. Maybe once I get to buy the other campaigns, I might think about changing back, but for now, I will stick to axe.
All I need to know is that I need to get a decent axe, and what about Tactics? If I am changing my secondary to Elementalist for Conjure, and it says that you have to use that element on your weapon. Do I just activate the skill? Or am I supposed to upgrade my axe so it does fire damage?
Can you guys give me a good build, just to start out with.
Like, make a whole bar for me with the skills, thanks.

Yes, you'll need a weapon that does that type of damage before you use the corresponding conjure. Just so you know, there isn't a Conjure Earth, so make sure the weapon you buy isn't ebon (makes it do earth damage).
About Tactics; it sucks. It's full of defensive stuff, but the War's job is to blow stuff up, so it doesn't really fit.
About a Proph-only axe build;
["For Great Justice!" (PvE)][Eviscerate][Executioner's Strike][Cyclone Axe][Disrupting Chop][Frenzy][Rush][Conjure Flame]
["For Great Justice!" (PvE)][Cleave][Executioner's Strike][Dismember][Cyclone Axe][Frenzy][Rush][Conjure Flame]
You'll get Cleave sooner (Evis is just before the end of the game, like Hundred Blades), so thats probably the better option, but Evis has bar compression so you can slot an interrupt aswell, should you need one.

You can cap Cleave in Grenths FootprintNo that is Dwarven Battle Stance sorry before Surrows Furnace or Iron Mines mission go cap Eviscerate in SF or you can wait untill you get to Hell Precipece(sp).

You activate the Conjure to get bonus damage, provided you already deal damage of the same Elemental type. You'd use Conjure Flame, that means you'll need a Fiery mod for your Axe to make it deal Fire damage instead of Slashing.

Also,
[warrior's endurance][power attack][protector's strike][dismember][frenzy][rush][no skill][no skill]
It's easy to run. Simply press 2-3-2-4-3-2-3-2-3 with constant Frenzy, Rush under heavy fire. If you're going to run it in PvP put in Bull's Strike, and I'm completely sure all these skills are Proph only.

I have a r9 axe that deals fire damage, and I am now a W/E.
This is my build:
[Cleave][Cyclone Axe][Dismember][Executioner's Strike][Conjure Flame][Frenzy][Rush][Resurrection Signet]

Yeah, stick to it.
Although if I were you, I would get [Eviscerate] instead of Cleave and [For Great Justice] instead of Dismember.
But you have a decent build, at last.

Cleave > Evis in PvE tbh. Same +damage for half the cost. Dismember is there for DW.
EDIT: I suppose if he really really needs to have his rez sig then he'll need to compress the bar for FGJ, but if the sig was dropped Cleave would be the better option.

Hi there..
This is what I use absolutley awesome build with the help of Marty..
[build=OQYTo0IKZ6pAqoSMqgv6vyW4qA]..
I use the Elite Kurzick Armour, Firery Axe Blade Of Fortiude & Zodiac Shield Of Fortiude..
Both provide +30hp the shield provides pysical dmg -5(20%)..
Works awesome..

-5/20% sucks really really badly. You've got 116AL vs. physical and 80AL vs. elemental. Why are you buffing physical defence? Besides, -2/stance or -2/enchantment are twice as effective.
